Journey to Belonging-En quête d'appartenance

The Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services (MCCSS) has announced a long-term vision whereby Ontarians with developmental disabilities are supported to actively participate in their communities and live fulfilling lives within the “Belonging: Choice and Inclusion” policy framework. While MCCSS is in its design phase, it is important for families, individuals, organizations, and communities to better understand the policy framework and its potential positive and negative impacts on supports and services for adults with developmental disabilities.

The Ottawa Developmental Services Network (ODSN) RSDIO is inviting you to join leaders from Community Living Ontario, for a learning conversation entitled “Journey to Belonging", to discuss how we can effectively inform ourselves and share feedback to MCCSS during the design phase regarding the potential impacts of its new vision.

Le Ministère des Services à l'enfance et des Services sociaux et communautaires (MSESSC) a annoncé une nouvelle vision à long terme selon laquelle les Ontariens ayant une déficience intellectuelle seront soutenus afin qu’ils puissent participer activement dans leurs communautés et vivre une vie comblée dans le cadre stratégique « Choix et inclusion ». Comme le MSESSC est actuellement en phase d'élaboration, il demeure important que les familles, les individus, les organismes et les communautés comprennent davantage le cadre stratégique et ses effets potentiels, positifs et négatifs, sur les services et soutiens offerts aux adultes ayant une déficience intellectuelle.

Le Réseau des Services en déficience intellectuelle d’Ottawa (RSDIO) vous invite à participer le 26 septembre prochain à une rencontre intitulé « En quête d’appartenance », présenté par les dirigeants d’Intégration communautaire Ontario et ayant comme but de vous informer et partager vos commentaires avec le MSESSC de façon efficace pendant la phase d’élaboration, sur les effets potentiels de sa nouvelle vision.
