About
The Ottawa Developmental Services Network (ODSN) is a collaborative of 18 Developmental Services (DS) agencies, and a mandated body for Transfer Payment Resources of the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS).
As a network of community organizations, ODSN exists to provide integrated service delivery through collaborative planning and partnerships in response to the needs, preferences, and desires of people with developmental disabilities.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
TRAINING INITIATIVE
Although all ODSN members are independent organizations, training needs of member agencies are often similar and thus ODSN members have opted to share resources to coordinate group training opportunities to reduce training and overhead costs.
The ODSN training mandate focuses on training opportunities that will support agencies in adopting best practices, innovative approaches to supporting individuals with complex and or changing needs.
This Professional Development Training Initiative will help build agency and system capacity, by:
-
Developing or enhancing skill sets of staff who provide direct support to adults with complex and/or changing needs.
-
Increasing the capacity of agencies to support individuals with complex/changing needs who are expected to enter the developmental services system and who are waiting for service.
-
Promoting sustainability and building capacity across the DS sector to support individuals with complex and/or changing needs who are waiting for service.
